If you are wondering what ‘Home Energy Upgrades’ actually means, it is simply any measure or improvement you make in the home that :
The One Stop Shop Service is aimed at very specific types of homes, particularly homes that are …
WHY?
The SEAI is offering substantial grants to help owners upgrade their homes and in order to qualify for such grants, there are specific requirements and post-work results to be obtained in order to qualify for the grant.
In order for us to find out if your home qualifies for the SEAI One Stop Shop Grant, we will need to ask you some questions about your property.
For instance …
– What type of house do you have?
– the approximate year of construction?
– what type of energy upgrades are you interested in?
– for example, attic insulation, heat pumps, windows, or door upgrades
– do you know the current BER rating of your home? (Building Energy Rating)
– have you had a Home Energy Assessment done?
*** Please note, a Home Energy Assessment IHEA) is not the same thing as a BER assessment.
A Home Energy Assessment is a very detailed and independent, onsite assessment of your property,. This is to help you assess all the viable options to upgrade your home and give you a very clear roadmap to work from.
It looks at a number of factors, including the current heat loss indicators and many other factors to give you a very clear ‘before and after’ scenario, approx cost of works as well as multiple upgrade options, so you can make an informed decision.
Once you receive your Home Energy Assessment report, we will then sit with you, go through all the possibilities and options outlined in the report, and come up with the most energy-efficient and cost-effective plan for your home.
*** Please note ***
SEAI offers a standalone grant of €350 for the Home Energy Assessment. This is deducted directly at the source so you only pay the net cost of the HEA. We can talk you through this and arrange it for you if you would like to move your project forward.

We would be delighted to chat with you about your project and discuss how we can assist you. Don’t worry if your home isn’t suited to the One Stop Shop service, as we can help you with individual Home Energy Upgrade measures also.
